Leadership vs. Partisanship
The Iraq War - the Surge
Greetings, and welcome to the website.  I  imagine that many of you are wondering, who is this guy and why is he running for President? That is a legitimate question to ask. The answer is not that complicated.
I love this country as much as anyone, but I have never been an overly political person.  However, I have been watching the state of affairs in our country and the politics of Washington, and I noticed, as you probably have, something very disturbing. There has been a steady, long term increase of bitter partisanship between the two major parties that has left solutions to the challenges facing us unresolved.  I wondered to myself what has caused this to occur and what could we do about it?
After a lot of thought, I recognized one significant factor that often goes unnoticed.  That factor is that the two parties have accumulated so much power between them, that they no longer fear being held accountable for their actions.  Instead, they seek ever more power and each election has become another chance to add to that power. The result of this tremendous power concentrated in the hands of the few, and the desire to keep that power to themselves has generated extreme partisanship.  That partisanship has pushed aside leadership and without leadership, the nation has deviated from the founding principles that made it great and will not be able to fulfill its promise to our children and future generations.
The two parties have become so polarized that they are incapable of working together.  No credit can be given to the other side because it would add to the other's power.  At the center of this struggle is the President, and as long as the President is either a Democrat or Republican, the partisanship will continue.  No President could go against his party on the issues, that would take away power from his own party
Therefore, in order to break this cycle of partisanship, it is necessary to remove the President from the center of the battle.  This can only be done if the President is truly independent and does not have any loyalties to either party.
With that thought in mind, I decided to run for President as a truly independent candidate whose only loyalty would be to the rightful owners of this nation, that group known as "we the people".  It is our country, it belongs to us all, and we have a duty to see to it that it continues.  The future that we pass on to our children must be preserved in freedom, a freedom that is built upon the foundation of  the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
I hope you will explore this website and maybe you will agree with me.  This election is a rare opportunity to reclaim our birthright, a birthright that has been stolen from us by those who seek power first.  It is something no one person can do alone, nor should it be.
This is a campaign  "of the people, by the people, for the people".   Either we rise up and secure our rights, or we continue to let the elites who have been in charge for far too long sell us and our country out for power, fame, and wealth.  It really is up to us!
Any comments you care to make, pro or con, are very much welcomed.  You can do so easily by going to the 'Contact Us' page.  If you do agree with me, I hope you will help by passing along this website address to your family and friends.
Thanks for visiting. God bless you all, and may God bless America!  Joe

  The Court of Supreme Fools

The self-anointed protectors of our inheritance, also known as the nine Justices of the Supreme Court, have issued forth their latest proclamations on the state of freedom and the U.S. Constitution, and not surprisingly, they have failed to do the job!  Here are the top three failures.

  The
first one is the STUPIDEST one of all. Apparently,  terrorists captured on the field of battle and being held at Guantanamo Bay, but not belonging to any nation's military, are going to receive habeus corpus rights that we normally grant to criminals in our justice system as required by the Constitution in Article 1, Sec. 9.

This privelege is not even required by the Geneva Conventions when dealing with normal prisoners of war.  Yet somehow, terrorists who kill civilians are now going to have the chance to get their case before a judge in an American court, implying that all the rules of evidence are going to be required.  The ability of the military to comply with such demands will severely hamper future actions against terrorists, possibly resulting in a take-no-prisoners mentality on the actual battelfield.

The 5-4 decision rendered by the court is purely political and does not reflect clear thinking with respect to the Constitution or international law!

  The
second case resolved by the same exact 5-4 decision is the MOST EVIL one of all.  In Louisiana, the step-father of an eight year old girl was spared the death penalty by the justices.

In the particular case involving Louisiana's death penalty for child rapists, the justices ruled that the death penalty was cruel and unusual according to the "evolving standards" of morality that these five fools believe in.  Ignored by them was the cruel and unusual suffering of the girl. This poor child was so brutally raped that she required major surgery to repair the damage done to her and leaves open the question as to whether or not she will ever be able to have children of her own. The psychological damages will never be tallied.

  The decision in the
third case that was described in the March 22 column about the Second Amendement is the MOST BOGUS of all three under discussion.  Some have looked upon the decision of the court to uphold the right of an individual to keep and bear arms as a victory for the Constitution and the people.  In another 5-4 ruling (which should have been 9-0), the justices decided that the Second Amendment actually means that the right belongs to the individual and is not tied to being a member of any state militia.  This however, is where the ruling begins to fall apart in two respects.

First of all, the SCOTUS thinks that "reasonable" regulations may be imposed upon the people by state and local governments.  This ambiguous position defies the meaning of the phrase "shall not be infringed".  It leaves the interpretation of  reasonable wide open to just about anything short of an outright ban as was the issue in this Washington, D.C. case.  In other words, you have a right to own firearms, but the government has the right to look over your shoulder. Even so-called "conservative"  Justice Antonin Scalia signed on to this nonsense.

     Moving From Words To Action

Now that the two major parties have given us their "lesser of two evils" choices for the 2008 election, we can concentrate on the alternatives.  Can we win?  Yes we can, but it is going to take hard work on everyone's part to bring this about.

We should recognize the fact that we have been duped into thinking we must vote Democrat or Republican, but why?  To give either party a vote is to encourage the party elites to believe one of two things: First, that the people do not pay attention and that the sheep will always come home, or Second, that the people actually believe what the party is selling!

If we wish to reclaim our inheritance which the elites have stolen from us, we must do something different.  Remember Einstein's definition of insanity - Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. We must do that which we have been taught NOT TO DO, vote independent/third party.  Realistically, if we can provide a strong I/TP vote in this election, we will begin that process of reclamation.  We will be sending a message not only to the elites who run the two majors, but also to our fellow citizens who also feel that their future has been hijacked.  There are many Americans who want to restore Constitutional self-government but are still afraid to vote other than DEM/GOP.  If the I/TP vote is strong, say 20%, we stand an excellent chance of gaining more voters for both the 2010 congressional elections as well as the Presidential election of 2012.

In addition to the 20 candidates listed here, there is the Libertarian Party ( the candidate is Bob Barr), and the Constitution Party (their candidate is Chuck Baldwin).  As a special note, Frank McEnulty, who is on this list, has a national party affiliation, The New American Independent Party.

Here are 22 Independent Presidential Candidates you can consider

Donald K. Allen, Terry Barkdull, Chris Borcik, John Bootie, Richard Clark, Richard FlehartyCass Forrington, Mark Graham, Jon Greenspon, Bill Ingram, Rob Jorgensen, Daniel Kingery, Brad Lord-Leutwyler, Colleen S. Martin, Charles T. MaxhamFrank McEnulty, Tom Millican, Jerry Odom, Max Rieske, Christopher Popham Smith, Ruth Bryant White, Kelcey Wilson.   Each of these candidates has a website you can visit, click on the name to get there.

In addition to checking out these candidates, I would like to encourage everyone who wishes to discuss and debate the merits of the Independent Movement to visit the
FireSociety.com website.  This site is totally grassroots, unattached to any outside support.  You can join in the discussions, start your own discussion thread, and even write an article for publication and discussion.

The future of freedom and the Constitutional government our founding fathers intended for us is severely threatened by the big government, New World Order/One World agenda of the elites.  However, this is our nation, our country, our home! We need to act together to stop the elites from any further destruction of our sovereignty and theft of our birthright!
If we don't do it, then who will?
