Senator Barack Obama

Senator Barack Obama has made his long awaited trip to Iraq,  Afghanistan and Europe, and appeared this morning on
'Meet The Press' to discuss the trip and other issues.  The trip was designed to be an information gathering event, but also offered the Senator an opportunity to appear on the world stage as Presidential.   He probably accomplished both of those tasks, but as usual, the partisan politics, from both sides, took over. Given the time frame of the election, this is a good point for us to take a good look at Mr. Obama.

This election is beginning to focus on the following issues:  Experience, Judgement, the Economy, and the War on Terror. In  making this trip, the Senator has tried to build his resume to show that he has the necessary attributes to lead the free world.  If we look carefully past the usual propaganda put out by the DEM/GOP/MSM political machines, we will see the results for what they are.

By far, the biggest part of the scam
(that we must vote the lesser of two evils each election) being perpetrated on 'we the people' is the phony argument that only the elites have the experience, wisdom and knowledge to govern.  The GOP of course is touting this line fiercely because in Senator Obama, they think they see an individual whose inexperience is a severe liability.  But the truth is that the experience factor is the most over-rated concept that we should look at in selecting a President.

The idea that somehow there is a training ground for the Presidency is ludicrous.  It is hyped by the elites to discourage us from considering anyone other than their choices.  In fact, as I have outlined in my webpage entitled
'Who Is Qualified', what we need in our President is a person of right character, honest, thoughtful and clear thinking, possessing common sense, dedicated to the principles of freedom and the Constitution, and able to deal with people in a straightforward manner.  Years of service in government are actually a hindrance to effectiveness due to the political baggage that these elite politicians acquire.

The Democrats are naturally avoiding the experience factor, countering with the notion that Senator Obama has shown sound judgement in his ideas of what our nation should do. It is here that Senator Obama is actually weakest.  His continued reluctance to acknowledge that it was the military surge in Iraq that moved the war forward toward victory is a telling stance that demonstrates lack of judgement.  Despite all the questions about whether we should or should not have invaded Iraq, the decision about how to achieve victory is of the utmost importance.  In his past and current comments concerning victory and troop withdrawals, Sen. Obama has shown poor judgement.

In fact, Senator Obama's call for change in how we operate our government is a smokescreen that hides his very partisan viewpoint.  His actions are always partisan and rarely based upon principle.  The dustup about the Senator's failing to meet with the troops at Mannheim and instead go to the gym for a workout illustrates this quite well.

The Obama campaign's offering on this situation is that had the Senator gone to visit the troops, he would be using campaign finances in violation of the law (imagine that!) and making the visit a propaganda moment.  To avoid this, they decided to not make the visit.  This is the typical of the foolishness that the elites offer us every election, and another good reason to not vote for any of these people.

If Senator Obama were a man of principle, and he truly was concerned about our troops and the sacrifices they have made, he should have simply made the visit on his own, paying for it with his own money, and refusing to publicize it beyond what the media might make known.  He should have declared that his visit was personal and private and ended any further discussion.  Senator Obama however, is not a man of principle first, but a clever and partisan political elite. In each instance where a principled position would be expected, Senator Obama has calculated the politics and partisanship first.  The Pastor Jeremiah Wright, the Tony Rezko debacle, his relationship with terrorists like Bill Ayers and Bernadette Dorn, his embracing of Louis Farrakan, all these situations show very clearly how unprincipled Mr. Obama actually is.

Senator Obama is not alone in this.  The elites who have taken over our nation and control of the political process long ago abandoned principle for power.  They have raised partisanship to an unimaginable level that denies leadership any role whatsoever.  They have sought to put forth their own particular agenda of how America should be and have slowly but surely been moving this great nation towards their mutually agreed to vision of a New World Order/One World Government.

At every turn, they ignore the will of the people and the Constitution. They have allowed our borders to be open to anyone, they have squandered our resources and prevented us from benefitting from their use, they have made a mockery out of what was once the premier educational system in the world, they've sent our jobs overseas while they mortgaged the future,  putting our children into huge debt to hostile nations through their unbridled spending and wastefulness, they have interfered in all aspects of our lives, they have pursued faulty foreign policies and weakened our military, and they have stolen our birthright in the process!

The reason that these things have happened is because "we the people" have abrogated our responsibility.  We have given the elites free rein to do as they please, and bought into the deception that we have no other choice, nowhere else to go.  We have fallen for this myth rather than rejecting it and the propaganda machines of the DEM/GOP/MSM that continually promote it.  In the end, we have allowed the partisanship to grow, failing to see how the lack of accountability and competition in the political process has engendered this total corruption of politics and the theft of our inheritance!

Now is the time to re-assert our authority, and this is the election where we must stand up and be counted.  We must acknowledge our own failure to maintain Constitutional self-government and begin now to restore it.  We must not only deny the elites the Presidency, we must throw them out of office for failing to properly manage
our home.  We must not give them any more credibility or power.  If we do not take the necessary actions in this election, the future of freedom will be set back generations, and America will slowly sink into a socialist NWO that will take our sovereignty with it.

What are we waiting for?  What are we looking for?  What are we hoping for?  If we do not act to Reclaim Our Inheritance, who will do it for us?
