She Should Go Home

You have probably read an account somewhere of  Ms. Elvira Arellano, the Mexican woman deported by U.S. immigration authorities. Like many other illegal immigrants, she had entered the U.S. to find work, and in the process used a stolen  ID.

This was not her first deportation, and along the way, she had managed to do two things. First, she gave birth to a son here in America, and secondly, she found a church that allowed her to live on the premises under the mistaken idea that a church was off limits to the government.  Sad to say, in our politically correct America, the government acceded to this false premise.  She was nabbed when she left the church to participate in an illegal amnesty rally and deported.  Many people are upset with this action.  They believe Ms. Arellano should be allowed to stay in the US with her son, from whom she is now separated.  However, there is no reason for her to leave her son behind, she can easily bring him to Mexico to live with her.  The boy's father remains unknown at this point, but that is not even the issue.

What is important is that the illegal immigration situation is beyond a crisis and has become a danger to the nation as a whole.  While is commendable to see the federal government actually doing something about it, you have to ask about the other millions of illegals still here.  In particular, you have to wonder how it is that hardened criminals, including murderers, rapists, and a large number of individuals who have been guilty of vehicular homicides are still here.  There have been numerous stories throughout the nation of illegals who were caught committing crimes, given bail or let out of jail after serving time, who then went on to commit more crimes resulting in the deaths of many of our own citizens.  Is Ms. Arellano a dog and pony show trick, or are the federal authorities going to enforce the law and send the illegals home?

Also not answered by our government is where the churches get the right to harbor criminals, and where is the authority of certain cities across the nation to declare themselves "sanctuary cities"?  How can municipalities ignore the law, refusing to co-operate with the federal government which is supposed to be doing the job of protecting the country's borders?  The entire situation is totally out of control, and the country is paying a severe price for this abdication of responsibility by our "leaders"!

We, as citizens of this country, must also take responsibility for the failures of the government.  We must realize that we have entrusted power to a group of aristocratic elites who wish to bring America into an international government that will dissolve our sovereignty.  They willingly pursue this agenda because they have convinced everyone that "they" alone possess some great, magical qualities, that only they have the wisdom and experience to govern.  Is this what you believe and accept as true?  Are you going to once again, in 2008, vote for the lesser of two evils?  It is guaranteed that if you do so, you will once again elect evil, even if it is the lesser one.
How much longer are we going to tolerate presidents, senators, representatives, mayors, etc. whose first loyalty is not to America and our Constitution?   Does anyone have a good answer to that?
